Die jetzige Pfarrkirche St. Andreas wurde in den Jahren 1904 bis 1906 nach Plänen von Ferdinand Schildhauer im Stil des Neubarock über die barocke Vorgängerkirche gebaut (40 m lang, 21 m breit) und im Stil des Neurokoko ausgestattet.
In der Kirche sind kulturhistorisch wertvolle Zunftzeichen zu sehen, die aus dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert stammen und zu den schönsten im süddeutschen Raum zählen.
Der Kirchturm, das Wahrzeichen Nesselwangs, wurde 1748 auf den Fundamenten des Vorgängerturms auf die stattliche Höhe von 54 m aufgemauert. 5 Glocken hängen im Kirchturm, von denen die größte 2020 kg wiegt. Die älteste, die an jedem Werktag zum „Gebetläuten“ am Morgen, am Mittag und am Abend zu hören ist, wurde im Jahr 1672 gegossen.
