Die Dorfkirche St. Sebastian wurde erstmals 1259 erwähnt.

Die heutige Pfarrkirche, eine dreischiffige Säulenbasilika mit Polygonchor wurde jedoch erst 1895 nach den Plänen des Badener Architekten Karl Moser fertig gestellt.

Die Turmhöhe inkl. Schmiedeisenkreuz mit einer Spannweite von 3 m als Blitzableiter beträgt 46,3 m.

Zu den Glocken sind 103 Holz-Treppenstufen zu besteigen. Zeitweise leben Fledermäuse in der Glockenstube.

Das Geläute (Cis, E, Fis, A, H), mit einem Totalgewicht
von 5'049 kg wurde 1894 in der Glockengiesserei Rüetschi in Aarau gegossen.
