1479 bis 1482 wurde die Alte Kirche St. Michael errichtet. Der Ursprungsbau geht in das 12. Jahrhundert zurück. Im Inneren der Kirche können die Mondsichelmadonna und farbenreiche Fresken aus verschiedenen Epochen besichtigt werden. Die Kirche St. Michael ist der einzige große Gewölbebau des Mittelalters, der im Markgräflerland zu finden ist.
Orgelmusik
Ab Mai findet jeden Samstag Orgelmusik zur Marktzeit statt. Bei Kaffee und Kuchen genießen die Zuhörer Orgelmusik in zwangloser Atmosphäre.
Alamannischer Ursprung
Bei Sanierungsarbeiten der alten Kirche St. Michael wurden unter dem heutigen Kirchenboden Gräber gefunden, die aber wieder geschlossen wurden.
Den Schlüssel für die Kirche erhalten Sie in der Galerie "Unartig" neben der Kirche.
Von Mai bis September finden sonntags Kirchenführungen zu verschiedenen Themen statt.
