Als sich Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts die größeren Orte von den Pfarrkirchen Konzen und Simmerath lösten, mussten neue Gotteshäuser gebaut werden. So auch in Dedenborn. 1717 wurde dort der Grundstein für die Kirche St. Michael gelegt, die im ländlichen Baustil erbaut wurde. Heute ist sie trotz ihres Anbaus von 1973, die einzige noch erhaltene Kirche dieser Bauart im Monschauer Land. In ihrem Innenraum be nden sich historisch wertvolle Kreuzwegbilder aus dem 17. Jahrhundert.
