Around 1670/80, three brothers, the barons from and to Sickingen on the Kaiserstrasse built a small chapel "To Our Lady". In this chapel was the image of "Weeping Madonna of Pötsch".
The picture of grace is a copy of the picture of grace in Pötsch, which was made around 1700 in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. The inserting of pilgrimage was revived by a complete indulgence granted by Pope Pius VII. The pilgrimage chapel had to be extended in 1803. After its demolition in 1916, the miraculous image was transferred to the 1911/12 built parish church.
The foundation stone was laid on 2 July 1911. Today, the pilgrimage enthroned in the sanctuary of the parish church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Kindsbach.
