The Protestant church is the oldest building in Kastellaun.

The oldest building in Kastellaun was constructed between 1318 and 1353/54 and remained intact during the destruction of Kastellaun in the Palatinate War of Succession (1689). Particularly noteworthy are the stone-carved tombstones that commemorate the Sponheim Count Simon II, his wife, and one of their sons. You can find free parking right in front of the Evangelical Church.
