Angeblich ist die Kirche eines der zehn meistfotografierten Gebäude der Welt. Kein Wunder, gehört sie doch zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO.

Die Basilika St. Stephan ist das viergrößte Gebäude Budapests, was interessant ist, aber erst spektakulär wird, wenn man weiß, dass der Keller fast genauso groß ist wie die Kirche, deren Kuppel immerhin 96 m in die Höhe ragt, und einen erstklassigen Blick über die Stadt bietet.
