Von Außen wirkt die Stechinellikapelle wie ein Bauernhaus. Im Innern überrascht sie durch die farbenfrohe, prächtige barocke Ausstattung. Die 1692 erbaute Kapelle ist benannt nach Francesco Maria Capellini (1640 -1694), genannt Stechinelli. Der am Hof des Herzogs Georg Wilhelm von Celle zu Reichtum gekommene Capellini erwarb unter anderen das Rittergut Wieckenburg und ließ dort einen barocken Lustgarten anlegen und die Kapelle erbauen. Seine 13 Kinder sollen in den Deckengemälden verewigt sein.
