The chapel of Profitis Ilias sits atop a small peak in the wild backcountry of Thirasia on the way from Manolas to the Monastery of Kera.

The picturesque whitewashed chapel with its wide yard and the surrounding buildings, probably housing the festivities on the day of celebration, create an idyllic rest point with great views. One can see the islands of Kammeni and Santorini as well as the Monastery of Kera awaiting at the end of the trail.
