Pod rozložitým nízkotatranským vrchom Ostredok v Demänovskej doline je vybudovaný menší symbolický cintorín, ktorý pripomína, že hory sú nielen krásne a povznášajúce, ale môžu byť i zradné, životu a zdraviu nebezpečné. V areáli cintorína sa nachádza kaplnka s nápisom „Úcta obetiam, výstraha živým“, šesťmetrový vyrezávaný drevený kríž, súsošie „horskej piety“ zobrazujúce matku trúchliacu nad mŕtvym dieťaťom a tabuľky s menami obetí Nízkych Tatier. Návštevník si tu môže uctiť pamiatku desiatok ľudí, ktorí zahynuli na túrach, lyžovačkách, úderom blesku či pod mohutnými lavínami. K cintorínu sa možno dostať po značkovaných turistických chodníkoch z Bielej Púte, Vrbického plesa či od Demänovskej jaskyne slobody.
