The Schulerloch stalactite cave can be visited on a guided tour. In the fascinating subterranean world, visitors can marvel at bizarre stalactite formations, a globally unique cup stalagmite in the shape of a water basin and cauliflower-like limestone deposits on the ceiling. The crowning glory of every guided tour is the sensational cave wall projection, which enables an (almost) real journey through time! You will experience the formation of the earth, dive into the Jurassic Sea, follow the path of the primeval Danube and encounter the giants of the Ice Age as well as the Neanderthals.
In the museum you can learn about the world of bats, which use the cave as their winter quarters from November onwards, and remarkable cave paintings give an insight into the artistry of our ancestors.
The concerts in the largest room of the dripstone cave are a special experience: the so-called Temple Room impresses with its unusually beautiful acoustics. Selected music groups that match the ambience of the cave, some of which were founded especially for the performance in the Schulerloch, offer a varied programme.
Other offers:
- Secrets of the Celts
- Mysterious creatures of the night
- Meditative guided tours with a visit to the power cave
- Children's birthday party: discovery tours
Visitors are spoilt in the covered terrace café or bistro with homemade cakes, warm delicacies, refreshing drinks and coffee specialities.

Gift idea: Voucher "Bavarian delicacy"
Our "Loch-G'schichtn" followed by a tasty beer menu are a hellishly good surprise: In the most beautiful dialect (easily understandable even for non-Bavarians) we tell in the cave about the adventures that have taken place there. Without exaggeration: "A so is do herunt scho zuaganga, Sakradie!" Afterwards you are allowed to explore the cave treasure chest. After a total of 60 minutes, we bid you farewell with a small gift and you set off for Riedenburg.
At the Schwan Inn, beer sommelière Sandra Schmid awaits you: in a special ambience and pleasant personal atmosphere, she serves you a Bavarian-Italian menu accompanied by a selected sequence of beers. The high-quality beer specialities have been produced by traditional, local breweries.
The voucher is valid from April to October and can be redeemed flexibly on every first and third Saturday of the month.
