A Sé Velha de Bragança foi construída durante o séc. XVI e é consagrada à São João Batista. Com a inauguração da nova catedral em 2001, o templo passou a ser uma igreja paroquial.

A antiga Sé foi contruida originalmente para ser um Convento da Ordem de Santa Clara, todavia foi usada como Colégio pela Companhia de Jesus entre 1562 e 1759. Em 1764, a sede do bispado de Miranda foi transferida para Bragança e a igreja foi denominada Sé Catedral, sofrendo várias obras de ampliação e renovação.
