Sanierungsbedürftig Schloss in privat Besitz
Das Schloss wurde 1530 erbaut.Zum Schloss gehörte ein Rittergut,Wirtschaftshof,eine Gärtnerei mit Rosengarten sowie eine Parkanlage mit Inselteich. Die Scheune wurde im 18.Jahrhundert gebaut.
Karl Leopold Prinz von Schönberg- Weltenburg war der letzte Besitzer von Schloss Gauernitz. Nach der 1945 erfolgten Enteignung wurde das Schloss als Gemeindeamt,Kindergarten und für Wohnzwecke genutzt.
1990 sollte ein Kongresszentrum im Schloss errichtet werden , aber dazu kam es nicht. 2002 ging das Schloss in Privatbesitz über, 2008 ging es per Gerichtsverfahren wieder zurück an die Gemeinde. Nach Zusage von Sanierungsarbeiten durfte der Eigentümer das Schloss behalten, aber bis heute ist nichts passierte. Teilweise ist das Schloss bewohnt.
