Here lies the Kasteli (castle) at Mandraki. It is one of the two forts that protected Hydra's naval base and played a significant role in the 1821 Revolution.
One of two opposite placed, small castles that exist at the entrance of Mandraki Bay, which was the venetian military naval base of Hydra from the 16th to the 18th century. The forts were also used during the 1821 revolution against the Ottoman reign.
