Two medieval castles, separated by a few dozen meters, as if facing each other: Rathsamhausen and Lutzelbourg.
The former boasts a "donjon-palais" (keep-palace) unique in Alsace, whose extensive remains provide a good insight into the way of life of its inhabitants.
Location and access: On leaving Klingenthal in the direction of Mont Sainte-Odile, turn left direction "Eichwaeldel" and park in the parking lot at the entrance to the development.
Take the forest path which climbs for around 1 km (alternative start from the Tourist Office).
Site accessible only on Tuesday mornings (09h-12h) and Saturdays all day (worksite days).
