Der Ill ist der grösste Nebenfluss des Alpenrheins und verläuft vor der Mündung im Rhein rund 75 km durch das Vorarlberg. Am Illspitz kommen die beiden Flüsse zusammen und fliessen anschliessend gemeinsam in den Bodensee.
