An optimal upgrade of the infrastructure for cyclists is the newly installed bicycle repair pillars in front of the Hochspeyer train station.
The Mountainbikepark Pfälzerwald e.V. was able to purchase 16 of these columns for its members (14 of them with LEADER funding). The repair columns have a tool kit with all common tools and a high-quality air pump for all commercially available valves. A QR code on the housing provides important tips and information on how to quickly repair the bike. The bicycle is thereby suspended at a safe and ergonomically suitable height.
