Der Marmara-Strand liegt 5 km westlich der Stadt Loutro im Südwesten Kretas.
Marmara bedeutet Marmor, der Strand wurde nach dem Gestein benannt, das den Bereich rund um den Strand bedeckt. Der Marmara-Strand bildet den Ausgang der Aradena-Schlucht und wird von den Wanderern, die durch die Schlucht kommen, gerne als Rastplatz genutzt. Aber auch aus Loutro kommen Besucher zu der kleinen Bucht, die nur zu Fuß oder mit dem Boot zu erreichen ist. Die kleine Taverne am Strand hat in der Saison geöffnet und es können kleine Bungalows gemietet werden, um die Ruhe in der Bucht ausgiebig zu genießen, wenn die Strandbesucher wieder weg sind.
