In the work of the sculptor Janez Lenassi, there is a play of contrasts. Organic landscapes stand in contrast to cubic surfaces and forms; the treatment of the sandstone surface contradicts the hardness of the stone, while harmoniously flowing movements follow edges and fractures. The tensions illustrate the everyday, the life that is constantly in opposing discourse yet still represents a closed path. Thus, the artist also incorporates the surroundings into his works, using them as direct dialogue partners and integrating the underlying landscape into each view or delineating himself from the hard architecture through soft structures.
