André Dubreuil, Spine - 1986

Spine ist das bekannteste und erfolgreichste Sitzmöbel Dubreuils - ein filigranes, skulpturales Objekt, das vor allem durch seine optische Leichtigkeit und seine geschwungene Linienführung besticht. Seine Form ist vom Rocailles-Ornament, einem typischen Rokoko-Motiv, inspiriert. Zugleich erinnert der Stuhl an Gartenmöbel aus gebogenem Eisen, wie sie im 19. Jahrhundert verbreitet waren. Wie alle Objekte Dubreuils wird auch Spine in Handarbeit und in entsprechend kleiner Stückzahl hergestellt.
