Raußlitz was already a manor under Hermannus de Ruzlitz in 1286. The estate was expanded over time and named Vorwerk around 1600. In 1652, Thimo Albrecht Preuß came into possession of the Raußlitz estate. Towards the end of the 17th century, the Raußlitz manor was owned by the von Carlowitz family. The buildings were erected around 1720. Hermann Schaeffer acquired the manor in 1857 and had the stables built in 1885. Under his son Bernhard, the interior and exterior were renovated from 1902.
Hans Schaeffer was expropriated in 1945 as part of the land reform. During the GDR era, the Raußlitz manor house served as a kindergarten, after-school care center, sales outlet and hairdressing salon.
Between 2000 and 2001, it was renovated to become the seat of the Ketzerbachtal municipal administration.
The manor house now houses a branch of the Nossen municipal administration. The farm buildings are used by the fire department and the water supply association.
