Mit seiner charakteristischen um 1830 von Johann Michael Voit, einem Schüler Friedrichs v. Gärtner, in der Formensprache des Klassizismus gestalteten Fassade prägt das Heilig-Geist-Spital das südöstliche Stadtquartier und gab dem Spitalviertel seinen Namen. Seit der Stiftung im Jahr 1426 durch Herzog Ulrich von Teck und Patriarch Ludwig von Teck bot es betagten Bürgerinnen und Bürgern Unterkunft und Verpflegung. Der heutige Gebäudekomplex geht auf die Erneuerung im Jahr 1658 zurück. Im Inneren Hauskapelle mit Ausstattung des 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhunderts. In der Passage befindet sich ganzjährig eine Figurenkrippe und eine Bildtafel von Erwin Holzbaur (1927-2010) zur Erinnerung an die herzogliche Stifterfamilie.
Fußwegverbindung zum Parkhaus Altstadt, zum Spitalhof und zur Imhofgasse an der Stadtmauer.
