The "Quinta dos Bacelares" is situated in the parish and village of Alvites. Its construction dates back to the 18th century, evident from the materials used and the decorative elements it displays, making it a fine example of Baroque architecture.
The architectural ensemble, of significant dimensions, features agricultural lands and is arranged within a walled courtyard. This courtyard encompasses various structures, including the main manor house, laid out in a T-shaped plan and accompanied by a chapel. Other buildings within the complex include a bread oven, a reading house, a storage facility, an olive oil mill (lagar), and various dependencies. The solar, or manor house, is particularly noteworthy within this ensemble, with some authors suggesting that it bears influences from the architect Nasoni.
