Pilgrim walks in Thann

From the tri-border area D/CH/F, the Burgunderweg northwest of the Jura arc is the classic route to Le-Puy-En-Velay. Compared to the more direct paths through Switzerland, it is flatter but also longer.

The Way of Saint James of Compostela in Alsace connects Wissembourg to Belfort. Inaugurated on Saint James' Day, July 25, 2003, marked by the Club Vosgien associations throughout the route, it forms the link ensuring continuity between Northern and Eastern Europe at the gates of Franche-Comté where the trail continues to Belfort via Bellemagny for a total of 275 km of long-distance hiking.

The Alsace Way of St. James should actually have been called "Way of St. James Grand Est" since 2016, but traditions live long. The path leads from Strasbourg to Thann, where it joins routes from Freiburg i.B. and Basel heading westwards.

Vom Dreiländereck D/CH/F aus ist der Burgunderweg  nordwestlich des Jurabogens die klassische Route nach Le-Puy-En-Velay. Verglichen mit den direkteren Wegen durch die Schweiz ist er flacher, aber auch länger.

10 Etappen von Breisach über Colmar - Thann - Belfort - Burgund nach Gy. Sehr anspruchsvoll von der Streckenlänge her.

Alternativroute ab BAD über Ortenauer Weinpfad und ab Diersburg auf dem Breisgauer Weinweg bis Einmündung Jakobsweg - Thann bei Buchholz.
