Alsace Way of St. James: Guebwiller - Thann
Pilgerwege Frankreich
This last stage on the Alsace Way of St. James takes us southwards again to Uffholtz, then we enter the valley of the stream «La Thur», which comes from the area of the Burgundy Gate, so from the west. Until the stage destination Thann, we now follow this stream.
Alsace was also German-speaking at times throughout its history, and the Alsatians mostly speak German and French, or often even mix both languages colorfully. We can thus slowly adjust linguistically, as French will soon dominate. Thann is a small town with a pretty old town and a worth-seeing cathedral, so we will feel comfortable here. Our stage ends in front of the Office de Tourisme.
