Pilgernd durch die Region

In Görlitz beginnt der Zittauer Jakobsweg, der bis nach Prag führt. In der Region Oberlausitz verlaufen zwei Etappen des Pilgerwegs: Die erste Etappe führt von Görlitz nach Ostritz, die zweite Etappe von Ostritz nach Zittau. Auf dieser Wallfahrt durchquert ihr die Auenlandschaft der Neiße und passiert das Kloster St. Marienthal.

Ein weiterer Pilgerweg, der durch die Region führt, ist der Ökumenische Pilgerweg von Görlitz nach Vacha an der Werra. Er fungiert als alternative Variante zum Jakobsweg. Auf eurer Wanderung passiert ihr auf dem Ökumensichen Pilgerweg bedeutende Städte Mitteldeutschlands wie Görlitz, Leipzig und Erfurt.
