After descending to the Salzach, the route ascends steeply through the spectacular Kitzlochklamm to the pilgrimage chapel Maria Elend (400 m elevation) and to the village of Embach; in spring and autumn, take the alternative route via Embachrain. From Embach, descend again 450 m to Lend. Note: no accommodation available in Lend!
