Pilgrim trails in Kerns

The section Stans - Flüeli-Ranft is part of the Innerschweiz route, which will take us from Einsiedeln to Brünig. We are on the Swiss Ways of St. James.

Last stage following the footsteps of Brother Klaus on his return from Liestal to the Ranft: He initially withdrew to his alp 'Chlisterli'. Return journey to Flüeli via the same route. 11.6 km, 762 m ascent, 162 m descent

Last stage of the pilgrimage route following the footsteps of Bruder Klaus, who in 1467 after setting out on a pilgrimage journey before Liestal turned back due to an apparition and finally settled in the Ranft after a detour via his Alp Chlisterli, where he lived as a hermit and became a counselor to many. The return from Alp Chlisterli is on the same path as the outbound trip. An alternative would be the long mountain tour via Alp Innebach and the Aelggi back to Flüeli.
