Pilgrim walks in Eferding

From the unique Schlögener View we hike past the Zeller Monument and two historical castle ruins into the Eferding Basin and visit the gravesite of the peasant war leaders.

The „Via Rosina“ is a themed trail about the secret Protestant Rosina Steinauer. The start is in Mitterbach am Erlaufsee and it leads into the Scharten, connecting to the „Trail of the Book“.

From Eferding, it goes through the vegetable landscape to the Peasants' War Monument Emlinger Holz, to the "Predigtstuhl" in the scenic landscape of Scharten and to Wallern/Trattnach.

The stage leads through the field landscape of Traun, Pasching, Thening (tolerance community) and further to the Freiling estate, to the Predigtstuhl and into Scharten.

The stage starts at the Schlögen Danube bend and first climbs the south flank of the Danube incision up to Waldkirchen am Wesen. Later it goes back down to the Danube. Through the nature reserve "Little Kösslbachtal" it climbs again uphill to St. Aegidi and from there on the "Trappistenrunde" downhill to Engelhartszell with its Trappist monastery Engelszell.

After starting at the Shalom Franciscan Monastery Pupping, the stage initially follows a section of the Aschach to the Danube and then into the town of Eferding, the center of the extensive Danube basin. Through lush vegetable fields, it then goes back to the Danube and to the Cistercian Monastery Wilhering.

The stage initially leads to the famous view of the Schlögener Schlinge and then over the hilly land to Haibach ob der Donau and further to Hartkirchen. Here you cross the lower Aschach valley and enter the plain of the Eferding basin.

The first stage along the Danube starts at Wilhering Monastery and initially follows the Danube Trail along the great river. Later it goes south and really through the vegetable land of the Eferding basin and directly through the town of Eferding. After a short detour to the Danube, you reach the Shalom Franciscan Monastery Pupping.

From the Shalom Franciscan Monastery Pupping, the death place of St. Wolfgang, we first go a section through Hartkirchen across the Eferding Basin. Here we are on a Donausteig round. Over gentle hills, one reaches Haibach on the Danube and the famous Schlögener loop with the magnificent view of the Danube.
