Donausteig – simply fantastic! On this stage we experience the wonderful Eferdinger Basin from various perspectives. From Aschach on the Danube, we hike in large meanders through the cultivated plain, over the wooded ridge on the western edge, back to the Danube, and finally to Eferding in the center of the basin. Along the way, we discover the historic Danube market of Aschach, quadrangular farms perfected to completion, the largest castle ruin in Upper Austria, the death place of St. Wolfgang, the third oldest city in Austria, ...

Die Reise führte von Lorsch bei Heppenheim nach Ludwigsburg,-1 Etappe und dann nach Essingen bei Aalen, wo ich meinen Freund abgeholt hatte. Von dort aus sind wir dann den direkten Weg zur Donau gefahren und haben den kompletten Donauradweg bis Wien bereist. Insgesamt waren es für mich 1000 Kilometer in 8 Tagen. Sehr geholfen hat mir das Radtourenbuch Bikeline, Donau-Radweg. Da konnte man auch ganz flexibel Übernachtungen kurz vorher ca. 30 Kilometer, Übernachtungen buchen. Reisezeit war vom 01.10.-08.10.14
