The Germanic Romea Way stretches nearly 2,200 kilometers from Stade to Rome, crossing 3 countries in 94 stages: 44 in Germany, 4 in Austria, and 46 in Italy. From the Brenner Pass, the Germanic Romea Way follows the Isarco river valley passing through Vipiteno and the elegant bishop city of Bressanone. Passing through Chiusa, it climbs onto the Renon plateau, where one enjoys one of the most beautiful views of the Alpine arc. In Bolzano, it plunges into the Adige Valley, which it follows until intersecting Trento, a city where the Catholic Counter-Reformation began in the 16th century. It ascends to Lake Levico, where it runs alongside the Brenta river, accompanying the hiker to the sound of rushing water up to Veneto. In Bassano del Grappa, it enters the Po Valley, continuing towards the beautiful Padua. Beyond Monselice, it skirts a myriad of canals between the Adige and the Po rivers to reach Emilia Romagna and proceed to Rome.
