Pilgrim walks in Ceto

The Charlemagne Path, recognizable thanks to the appropriate signage, takes its name from a 15th-century legend that tells of the passage of the first Roman emperor. The route develops from the Upper Town of Bergamo to Madonna di Campiglio (TN), it is divided into 12 stages and runs mostly along the mid-slope of the mountain ridges between the two locations. Although it is a medium difficulty route, it still features some quite challenging uphill and downhill sections, and the altitude changes vary from stage to stage. The path is one-directional and leads towards the mountains.

Following once again a section of the "Cammino Carlo Magno," you reach by public transport  the Darfo Boario Terme Station (220 m asl) and passing near the modern church of Santa Maria Assunta, you take the road that skirts the Castelleto Promontory.
