Nature trails in Offenburg

The approximately 48-kilometer-long Gustav-Weg connects the core town of Offenburg with its eleven villages as a circular route. In the west, it runs through the Rhine plain; in the east, it ascends into the vineyards with many beautiful views. In the south, steep paths lead into the historically significant Bellenwald forest.  The route can be divided individually into stages.

The Ortenauer Weinschleife "Zeller Abtsberg Runde" in the Offenburger Rebland foothill zone is distinguished by excellent views of the Offenburger Rebland, the city area of Offenburg, the Rhine Plain from the South to the Northern Alsace and further north into southern Palatinate. The "Hornisgrinde" as the last visible end of the Northern Black Forest marks the highest elevation with its distinctive Southwest Broadcasting tower. Good panoramic views into "Baden", "Alsace" with the Vosges and repeatedly: "Vines, vines, vines, views, pure nature." An unforgettable hiking experience.

In the middle of the wine paradise Ortenau, the wine hiking trail winds along the vineyards. The magnificent panoramic route offers wide views of the Rhine plain and over to the Vosges. The Offenburg wine hiking trail connects the Offenburg wine villages Rammersweier, Zell-Weierbach, and Fessenbach with the municipality of Ortenberg, on whose municipal area the city winery Schloss Ortenberg is located. Here the Offenburg wine hiking trail begins or ends, and it can be walked in either direction.

The route leads from the Weingarten Church to Fessenbach, into the vineyards with beautiful views of the villages on the vineyards, the Rhine plain, and the Vosges.

The Ortenau Wine Trail "Zeller Abtsberg Round" in the Offenburger Rebland foothill zone is characterized by excellent views of the Offenburger Rebland, the Offenburg city area, the Rhine plain from the south to the north Alsace and further north to the far south Palatinate. The “Hornisgrinde,” as the last visible end of the northern Black Forest, marks the highest elevation with its distinctive Südwestrundfunk transmission tower. Good all-around views into the "Baden" region, into "Alsace" with the Vosges, and repeatedly: "Vines, vines, vines, views, pure nature." An unforgettable hiking experience.

Long and varied hike over the ridge located southeast of Berghaupten. Picturesque Kinzig side valley of Bermersbach. From the signpost "Im oberen Wald" in a loop via the Guttahütte at Rebmesserstein to Steinfirst. On a narrow path from Sägereck down to Pappelwaldsee and back to Berghaupten. The legend trail "Steinfirst" is route 15 of the total 32 Ortenau legend trails.

Der Sagenrundweg "Brandeck" ist Strecke 16 der insgesamt 32 Ortenauer Sagenrundwege.
