The path offers breathtaking views of the almost untouched landscape of the Verwall European protected area with its lakes, moors, larch forests, and scenic summits. Starting from the mountain station of the Grasjoch cable car, you circle three mountains, hike to the Upper and Lower Alpgues lakes as well as the eponymous alp, and with a bit of luck, encounter marmots, chamois, and ibex.

The Montafonerhausweg shows the special features of typical residential and commercial houses, as they were built in the valley from the 15th to the 20th century. They are inseparably linked to the Montafon cultural landscape. From the town center, the route leads inland along the valley, then above the village on the sunny side with a view of the Vallüla. On the way back, a detour to the Balbier Waterfall in Gortipohl is worthwhile.

From the Vergaldner bridge, it goes through the forest among others to the impressive lime kiln, to beautiful views, and over maize pastures to Ronggalpe. Of course, the famous geological Gargellner Window can also be seen.

The legend hiking trail tells of legends and myths which often revolved around the miners who used to live at Kirstberg and Bartholomäberg in Montafon, as well as Christian events and moral transgressions. Along exciting locations in the former mining area, the path mostly runs through shady forest but also offers beautiful views into the Verwall and Silbertal.

The sunny path begins at the mountain station of the Hochalpila Bahn and leads directly to two summits: Kreuzjoch and Zamangspitze. From there, it continues downhill to Grasjoch.

The Energy Route shows how a remote mountain farming village has developed into a lively residential and tourism destination through electricity generation. On the sometimes sunny, sometimes shaded round trip, you go from the village center through forest and an old mule track through a classic alpine hay meadow landscape to the toll station of the Silvretta High Alpine Road and the power plant facilities. Great views into and out of the valley!
