Mountain hikes in Weerberg

The combination of Halslspitze (2,574 m) and Rastkogel (2,762 m) from the Weidener Hütte is a scenic day route with a magnificent ridge hike.

From the Alpengasthof to the Loassattel (1,675 m) it continues to the Kleine and Große Gamsstein, east of the Graukopf (2,259 m) along to the Gilfert summit (2,506 m). Then follows a moderate descent to Hochfügen (1,480 m) to the mountain hotel.

This great hut crossing crosses an important Tux peak.

The fourth stage of the Inntaler Höhenweg leads from the Weidener Hütte over the Nurpensjoch to the Rastkogel and further over the Sidanjoch to the Rastkogelhütte.

This scenic connecting path leads over a very panoramic mountain saddle.

The ascent to Gilfert via the small and large Gamsstein is already a nice route. Although certainly not a secret tip. However, on the alternative return path via the Lafasteralm, it becomes much quieter and in places unexpectedly demanding.

An easy mountain hike leads from the Rastkogel hut through gentle terrain to the Kleine Gilfert. At the Kleine Gilfert, the "Peace Symbol" with all world religions awaits, along with the best panoramic view to the south towards the Rastkogel and beyond towards the Olperer, and to the north towards Kellerbergjoch and further to the Karwendel. The path follows the contour lines, crosses meadows and streams on a marked hiking trail (Ernst-Kirchmair-Steig) and climbs a total of about 300 meters in elevation. The walking time is about 2 hours each way.
