Monte Grona is the hut mountain of Rifugio Menaggio on the west shore of Lake Como. An easy hike leads up to the ridge. After that, the path becomes more alpine; light rocky scrambling and an exposed path in the steep north flank lead to the rocky summit with fantastic views.
