The short and punchy route challenges you with an extremely steep and sweat-inducing ascent and offers a brilliant trail in return. This makes it the perfect choice for any trail rider who wants to push themselves first before rewarding themselves with pure riding fun.

Mountain for your bike - high up in Vorarlberg

There are an incredible 1500 km of signposted mountain bike tours throughout Vorarlberg. The standardised signposting will keep you on the right track to suit your needs. Whether you are looking for a leisurely ride through the beautiful Vorarlberg countryside to explore with the whole family, or want to get your brakes smoking and your heart racing, the mountain landscape of the entire region is so varied that there are MTB tours in easy, medium and difficult levels.

There are always new trails in Vorableber for both advanced riders and MTB beginners that you should make a note of. In Vorarlberg, there are many metres in altitude to conquer - if you want to get up high, you either have to pedal hard or get support from one of the mountain railways. The Versettla cable car takes you and your bike up to higher altitudes in comfort, allowing you to enjoy the panorama from above and let your gaze wander. From the valley station to the mountain station, you'll cover a good 1030 metres in altitude.

Mountain biking in the Montafon

The Montafon is an outdoor sports centre like no other. Both in summer and winter, recreational sports enthusiasts flock here. No wonder - the landscape just lends itself to it! There are over 260 kilometres of excellent cycle and mountain bike trails for keen bikers and those who want to become one. Your mountain bike will carry you over hill and dale through the green valleys towards the mountain peaks. If you want to go even further, you will have to take your trusty bike on your shoulders for short sections, but then you will come to places that reward you with sweeping views over Vorarlberg. Favourite MTB spots in the Montafon are Partenen, Gaschurn, Schruns, Silvretta and the Silbertal. Here you will find particularly great mountain bike trails to suit your taste!

Downhillers can enjoy challenging riding fun in the Bikepark Brandnertal. It's all about your riding technique here. The 30 kilometres are divided into enduro and single trails, flow lines and downhill and freeride routes. If you are not yet an expert, you are guaranteed to become one here. It's all about the adrenaline rush on the descent, which is why you can easily make the ascent by cable car.

Which bike parks and single trails are there in Vorarlberg?

The largest and best-known bike park in Vorarlberg is the Bikepark Brandnertal. There are many different trails of varying difficulty here. The best-known trails are Tschack Norris and Tschäck the Ripper, but there are many more.

There is also a fine selection of single trails on the Hochjoch, from easy to difficult and always with a fantastic panorama. Here you can choose from three different trails that wind their way down into the valley over a total altitude difference of 500 metres.

Another highlight for mountain bikers is the new trail centre in Au-Schoppernau. An ideal terrain has been created here for getting to grips with the sport of MTB and gaining your first experience on single trails.

There is also a fun downhill trail on the Arlberg. The Burgwald trail near Lech is sure to put a smile on your face with its Northshore elements. Last but not least, the trail on the Muttersberg near Bludenz deserves a mention. This has long been a constant in Vorarlberg's trail programme and is still well worth a visit.

Man muss etwas Umweg fahren.

Sehr schöne Tour die alles bietet was die Gegend her gibt.
