Die Familien-Jugendherberge Görlitz "Altstadt" bietet einen Blick über die Dächer der Altstadt und ist nur einen Brückenschlag vom Ausland entfernt.

Die Nähe zur polnischen Partnerstadt Zgorzelec macht Görlitz zu einem einzigartigen Ort, an dem beide Kulturen erlebbar sind und voneinander profitieren können. Die historische Stadt gehört zu den am besten erhaltenen in Mitteleuropa. Görlitz gilt als Deutschlands umfangreichstes Denkmalschutzgebiet mit insgesamt 4000 denkmalgeschützten Gebäuden.

Auch in der unmittelbaren Umgebung gibt es einiges zu entdecken. Das Naturschutzgebiet rund um die Landeskrone, den 420 Meter hohen Görlitzer Hausberg, ist ideal zum Wandern. Und wer es ganz nach oben geschafft hat, wird mit einem tollen Ausblick über die Region belohnt. Im Süden von Görlitz liegt der fast 1.000 Hektar große Berzdorfer See. Das Naturparadies bietet optimale Bedingungen zum Baden, Surfen, Segeln, Radfahren und auch Skaten.
