Auf dem Brandenkopf, der mit 945 Metern höchsten Erhebung des Mittleren Schwarzwalds, befindet sich das Wanderheim des Schwarzwaldverein Ortsvereins Oberharmersbach.

Seit 1929 steht neben dem Wanderheim ein 32 Meter hoher Aussichtsturm aus rotem Buntsandstein. Er bietet bei guter Sicht einen Panoramablick über den Schwarzwald, das Rheintal, die Vogesen und den Feldberg bis zu den Schweizer Alpen. Der Hausberg des Harmersbachtals gilt als einer der schönsten Aussichtsberge des Schwarzwaldes.

Der Turm ist frei zugänglich und ganzjährig geöffnet. Eine kleine Spende für den Erhalt wird erbeten.

Das Wanderheim liegt direkt an einer Schleife des Westwegs (Etappe Hark - Hausach). Von Zell am Harmersbach führt der historische Naturlehrpfad hinauf, ein weiterer Zugang besteht ab Hausach.
