The Junkerhaus has history. It has had many names and purposes: it was, among other things, the burgomaster's house, the forestry house, and the tax office. It is an important monument with foundations from the 14th century and many original details from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. For example, it features a whitewashed 'Cologne ceiling' from the 16th century and a mansard roof made of hand-hewn Moselle slate. It is the main building of an enclosed farmstead with massive natural stone fencing. Anyone passing by on the hiking trail of the Eifel Association admires this unique property.
