Itt, a természetben az ember igazi harmóniára találhat, az „ökológiai lábnyomunk” pedig elenyésző lehet. Napelem, napkollektor, szélerőgép, nádgyökérzónás szennyvíztisztító és komposzt WC szolgálja a csoportok környezetbarát magatartását. Kipróbálhatjuk, hogy milyen a búbos kemencében kenyeret sütni, csíkótűzhelyen főzni, vagy éppen az ökoház körül a vályogtéglavetést és a fűzfavessző-építést gyakorolhatjuk. A közelben találhatók a „lengyeli kultúra” néven ismertté vált őskori kultúra régészeti lelőhelyei földvár maradványokkal, és itt találjuk a török időben elnéptelenedett Papd község emlékére állított erdei kápolnát. A környéket számos jelzett turistaútvonal szeli át, a táj bebarangolására 25 db kerékpárt is tudnak biztosítani.

Busszal a Mekényesi elágazás megállóban kell leszállnunk, a menetidő Dombóvárról 45 perc, Szekszárdról 75-95 perc.

A Mekényesi elágazás megállótól a műúton kell elindulnunk északnyugati irányban. Kb. 800 méter alatt elérjük az ökoházat.

A ház a Tolnai Piros turistaút mentén fekszik Döbrököz és Mucsi között. Az utóbbi faluból 9 km-es gyaloglással közelíthetjük meg.
- A ház az Annafürdői Turisztikai és Természetismereti Központtól 6 km-re helyezkedik el, ahonnan gyalogosan az erdőn keresztűl vagy biciklivel köves úton könnyen eljuthatsz.
Parking
Parkolási lehetőség a ház előtt van.
- Szekszárdról a 6-os, majd a 65-ös úton kell haladnunk nyugatra, mielőtt Tevel felé délre fordulnunk, ahonnan Závod és Kisvejke érintésével, Lengyelnél jobbra térve érjük el az ökoházat (47 km).
- Dombóvárról a 61-es úton kell kihajtanunk, aztán jobbra kell fordulnunk Kurd felé. Ott ismét jobbra kanyarodva rátérünk a 6538-as útra, amely mellett a szállás található (23 km).
