Winter sports

Winter sport fans will have lots of fun in the low mountain range. The ski slopes in this region are only up to about 800 metres above sea level, but the 150 different ski lifts in the Sauerland have – thanks to constant upgrade of snow cannons – a fairly high number of operating days. There are also numerous of top class and unusual events. 
The DSV-Nordic-Active-Center on the Steinert in Bad Berleburg - Girkhausen and the Cross – Country – Centre Pastorenwiese in Bad Berleburg - Wunderthausen are part of the ski resorts winter sports arena Sauerland and ideally for fantastic cross- country skiing.
