Seven-kilometer circular trail "Auf der Steinert" in Girkhausen.
At the DSV Nordic Active Center Girkhausen, cross-country skiing fans are in their element. The altitude offers relatively high snow reliability. The entry to the 7 km long intermediate route is possible both from the ski hut "Auf der Steinert" and from the Albrechtsplatz hiking car park at the B480/B236 intersection.
All trails are consistently groomed for classic and free technique along the wide tracks and have a direct connection to the Rothaarloipe. There are dining options and a ski rental directly at the ski hut located at the trail.
Trail tickets can now also be purchased online! Here you can find the tickets!
Author’s recommendation
In wintery conditions, you will be offered a beautiful view!
However, we recommend that you walk up to the hut in heavy snowfall rather than ski.
Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.
