Das Wimpassinger Schutzhaus liegt im herrlichen Wandergebiet direkt am Südhang des Hochwechsels.

Lage: Wechsel (steirisches Joglland)

Besonderer Hinweis:
Herrliches Wandergebiet – liegt direkt am Südhang des Hochwechsels

Langlaufloipe: ca. 15 km vom Haus entfernt, vom Ort Mönichwald Richtung Waldbach rechts abbiegen zur Rabl Kreuz Hütte/Hochwechsel – Einstieg Loipe 20 km gespurt.

Kleines Schigebiet nur ca.1 km entfernt:

Mönichwald Hochwechsellifte (3Schlepplifte)1.000 – 1.300m mit Schischule beim Gasthaus Schwengerer

Gesamte Pistenlänge: 5,5km

Leichte Pisten: 1,5 km

Schwere Pisten: 4,0 km;

Badeteich: Gemeinde Mönichwald, wo auch Tretboote gemietet werden können

Kaltwiesenhütte (ca. 2 Stunden)

Wetterkoglerhaus (Hochwechsel 1.743 m, ca. 3 Stunden)

Rabl Kreuz Hütte (ca. 2 Stunden)

Zufahrt mit PKW: über A2 / Südautobahn - Abfahrt Pinggau/Friedberg - auf der B54 Richtung Hartberg - Abfahrt Rohrbach an der Lafnitz – Mönichwald, Hochwechsellifte, in Ausnahmefällen ist eine Erreichbarkeit mit dem PKW (gilt nur für Rettung, Bergrettung und Feuerwehr) über einen Privatweg möglich.
