Die Veitbauernalm ist umgeben von den Hohen Tauern und liegt im wunderschönem Gasteiner Nassfeld.

Die uralte Alm ist wohl die am hintersten gelegene am Talboden von Sportgastein/ Nassfeld. Der Weg von einer Stunde zahlt sich jedoch in jedem Fall aus. Von Juni bis September kann man auf der Veitbauernalm die köstliche Jause und den allbekannten Schnaps verkosten. Für die Kinder gibt es einen Spielplatz und auch einige Tiere gehören zu der Alm. Das idyllische Nassfeld mit seinen Hohen Tauern und den davorliegenden Blumenwiesen ist von der traditionellen Alm gut zu überblicken. Hier begreift man für was der Nationalpark steht.
