Swiss Mountain Hut
At the Schweizerhütte Alpine dairy, top-quality Alpine cheese is produced in the traditional way. During a visit to the hut, you will learn more about the history, the production of the cheese and the life of a dairymaid
The numerous raw milk cheeses are unique and invite you to savour them. In addition to the classic alpine cheese, there is also sour milk cheese, curd cheese, fresh alpine butter and numerous milk variations.
But it's definitely worth trying the homemade mountain farmer's mozzarella with blueberry vinegar!
Of course, children are not neglected here either. The playground and petting zoo provide plenty of fun and with a bit of luck our marmot couple Manfred and Fraufred will make an appearance.

Coming from Salzburg: Take the A10 freeway to the Bischofshofen exit, then take the B311 in the direction of Bischofshofen. Follow the Hochkönig Bundesstraße/B164 to Mühlbach.Coming from Innsbruck/ Kufstein: On the Loferer Straße/B178 in the direction of St. Johann i.T., then follow the Hochkönig Bundesstraße/B164 via Saalfelden and Maria Alm to Mühlbach.
A valid vignette is required to use the Austrian freeway and expressway network. It is also compulsory to carry a first-aid kit, warning triangle and high-visibility vest. For more information, see Asfinag.
