Schirrmaierhütte Steinach

The Schirrmaierhütte is a popular excursion and hiking destination, which is open on Sundays and public holidays in the summer months, except Good Friday and All Saints' Day.

The hut was built as a shelter and is still used today to provide hikers with protection. There is also a "forest toilet", a small playground and a barbecue area around the hut. In 2010, the outdoor area was lovingly redesigned. The Steinach "house route" leads via the Schirrmaierhütte to Oberbach, Wanglig and Niederbach or to Welschensteinach. The hut festival takes place once a year.
