The Passauer Hütte stands at 2,051 meters above the Mittagsscharte on a magnificent vantage point. The steep west face of the Fahnenköpfl directly across from it offers plenty of opportunities for those who enjoy via ferrata or rock climbing. The hut is an ideal starting point for climbing the highest peak in the Leoganger Steinberg, the Birnhorn (2,634 meters). The multi-year renovation work on the hut has been completed, but its cozy atmosphere has been fully preserved.
