The Neue Magdeburger Hütte of the DAV Geltendorf section is located at the foot of the Solsteine in the lovely alpine terrain. The hut is both an independent day destination for hikers and mountain bikers as well as a comfortable base for tours to the Solsteine or a Karwendel crossing high above the Inn Valley. Climbers can reach a climbing garden with routes of difficulty levels III to VI+ via the Zirler Schützensteig in approx. 20 minutes.
Our hut is part of the campaign Mit Kindern auf Hütten, an initiative of the Alpine associations in Germany, Austria and South Tyrol for family-friendly huts. It is suitable for children from 3 to 4 years and older. Our adventure areas are: Playground with swing, balance beam, climbing wall and slope slide in front of the hut; pond and small pond with frogs and amphibians, rabbits, chickens, sheep, goats, cows (young cattle), llamas, donkeys, ponies; climbing garden (III to VI+) 20 min; geocaches; view at the Gatterl (30 min)
