Die Ligoascht, wie die Ligeretalm bei den Einheimischen genannt wird, ist eine Selbstversorgerhütte der Sektion Berchtesgaden des Deutschen Alpenvereins. Sie kann nur von Gruppen genutzt werden, bei denen mindestens 50 Prozent Mitglieder der DAV-Sektion Berchtesgaden sind
Unterhalb vom Kehlsteinhaus
Die Ligaret-Alm liegt an den Hängen des Göllstöcks, etliche hundert Meter oberhalb befindet sich das weltberühmte Kehlsteinhaus, Hitlers Teehaus. Die Ligoascht erreicht man am schnellsten von der Scharitzkehlalm aus. Diese Alm und Gastwirtschaft ist mit dem Auto erreichbar. Auch mit dem Fahrrad kann man die Ligoascht besuchen, zum Beispiel als Etappe der BGL-Bikerunde Süd.
Oberhalb von ScharitzkehlUnterhalb der Ligeretalm befindet sich die Scharitzkehlalm. Das Gasthaus Scharitzkehlalm am Carl-von-Linde-Weg Obersalzberg ist ein beliebtes Ausflugslokal. Im Winter verwandelt sich die Almfläche der Scharitzkehl in eine Langlauf-Höhen-Loipe für klassische und Skating-Technik.
